Alberta’s boreal forest is a globally significant ecosystem shaped by a beautiful mix of forest types, distinct seasonal climate patterns, and Canada’s iconic large mammal community. My research here spans a few different areas from trying to understand the impact of resource extraction on large mammals, to specific investigation of species population dynamics.
